Spiced nuts, ah, the spice of life! Have you ever made spiced nuts before? Until this week neither had I. I knew them, I loved them, but I never made them myself. It took a few tries to get it just right, but this final recipe for keto spiced pecans is so scrumptious.
These keto spiced pecans start raw, and cook with sweetener slowly in a slow cooker until they become the candied treats you’re familiar with, except they’re sugar-free!
However, due to what I believe is the lack of sugar content, I wouldn’t store them for long period in a jar, they don’t “keep” all that well when contained (moisture), so this is more of a make ’em and eat ’em in a couple days kind of treat.
Keto Spiced Pecans

Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw almonds
- 1 cup raw walnuts
- 1 cup raw pecans
- 2 egg whites
- 3 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup erythritol
- 1 cup “brown sugar” erythritol (ie. Swerve, Lakanto)
- 10 drops stevia glycerite
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp nutmeg
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅓ cup water
Steps:
- In a bowl with a hand mixer, whip egg whites and vanilla extract until frothy. Add almonds and toss—this will help everything stick.
- Add the almonds into the slow cooker, then add the rest of the ingredients except the water, and toss. Cook for 3 hours on low, but keep an eye on it, and stir often.
- Add water and mix, then cook an additional half-hour to hour. Remove, and spread out on parchment paper to cool. Once cooled and hardened, enjoy! Store in an air-tight container and consume within a week.
