If you love the taste of burgers and dogs on the 4th of July, you’ll love this smorgasbord of the best barbecue ingredients on a grain-free, 100% cheese pizza crust. I introduce to you the 4th of July Pizza.
I literally just finished eating this pizza less than ten minutes ago. It’s one of my favorite recipes. I know I say that all the time, but it’s true! I think this recipe is going to be in demand often around here.
This quite literally tastes like a complete Fourth of July BBQ in every squee-inducing bite. So if nobody invited you to any BBQs this year ’cause they’re a bunch of jerks, then you can rest easy knowing this pizza is here for you. Always. Or, if you’re missing summer when it’s 20 degrees out in January, it’s here for you. In fact, it’s always here for you because hot dogs and hamburgers are the ultimate comfort food.
It takes a little while to make this 4th of July Pizza, but I promise it’s worth the work!

Nutritional Facts: 7g Net Carbs| 1289 Calories | 91g Fat | 8g Carbs | 109g Protein | 1g Fiber
Ingredients:
- 1 lb grass fed ground beef
- 2 organic uncured beef hot dogs
- 1.5 cups 4-cheese Mexican blend
- 1.5 cups shredded cheddar
- 1/4 tbsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp Old Bay
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp organic thousand island dressing
- 1 cup chopped romaine
- 2 tbsp red onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp dill pickle, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded American cheese (you can get a little block from the deli or cheese shop)
- low-sugar ketchup to taste (1g of carbs or less)
- mustard to taste
Steps:
- Over medium heat in a medium frying pan glazed with olive oil, add 1 cup cheese blend evenly over skillet in a circle, then on top, 1 cup shredded cheese (the 4-cheese blend will keep it from sticking to the pan). Make even. Cheese should sizzle when it’s added.
- After 5 minutes, use a spatula to lift the edges and underneath of the pizza, and slide out onto a flat surface, like a cutting board. Allow the crust to cool.
- Repeat again, for the second pizza crust. Set both crusts aside.
- Add 2 tbsp thousand island dressing to both crusts. Use a spoon to evenly smooth it around.
- With your leftover skillet, add 1lb hamburger and cook until browned.
- Once browned, add paprika, sea salt, ground black pepper, old bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and 2 tbsp water. Mix and set to simmer on low. Add a little more thousand island dressing (about a tbsp should work) and toss.
- Chop hot dogs into slices and add to the mix.
- Meanwhile, add chopped lettuce to your pizza crust.
- Chop your pickles, onions, shred your American cheese, and set aside.
- On top of lettuce, add about a cup of the hamburger/hotdog mixture to each pizza crust and spread evenly (more, if you want).
- Add chopped onions and chopped pickles.
- Drizzle ketchup and mustard on top.
- Sprinkle with shredded American cheese, serve and enjoy.

I agree that it’s balls to go to the lengths some bloggers go to, whether it’s staging their food/their homes/their kids or what-have-you. I can’t stand fake so show me the real deal or don’t try to sell me on it in the first place. Still, this pizza…I don’t know. Personally, I would omit the hot dogs and I think you’d have a kick ass taco thing going on. 🙂
greenapples Haha, I’ve done a taco one, and it’s awesome! This was a total experiment and I knew it could go either way, but even my picky dude loved it. I’m actually looking at this photo now and remembering it, and now I want to make it again!
Yummy, looks great! Thank you so much for inspiring.
Looking forward to cook it! 🙂
By the way, I know a way for fat burning recipes in the link down below! Keep up the motivation!
