One Eleven Chop House Review, Worcester MA

One Eleven Chop House in Worcester is the place that made me start ordering my steak medium back in 2004.

I come in with a friend when we were in college because we both had gift certificates.

I go ahead and try to order my steak well done. I got scoffed at, but in the friendliest way possible. Our waitress was all “oh no sweetie, you most definitely cannot get a steak well done”.

Thinking of the tears in the eyes of the cow I was about to eat seemed a whole lot more real when thinking about ordering my steak rare. And so I inquired what she suggested, because I’m not a fan of what they call E-COLI. Remember, I’m young, and silly, and I’m afraid of undercooked meat.

So she convinces me to get it done medium, and if I couldn’t handle it, then she could ask them to throw it on longer.

Well my steak comes, and I dig the knife a little deeper when I ask for steak sauce.

GASP!

She tells me that she’ll get me steak sauce, but I have to try my steak first. And so I did.

I’ll tell you what, I’m pretty sure that’s one of the best darn steaks I’ve ever eaten, and totally changed the way I feel about undercooked meats. Now I’m totally OK with them, so long as the steak is tasty.

And no, I didn’t end up using the steak sauce. And yes, I’m pretty sure I moaned blissfully with every bite throughout the rest of my meal.

We had a very satisfied waitress. The end!
