So I got the $40 pre-fixe menu which was nice and cheap (by some standards).
Started with the Yellow & Green Bean Salad, which was Ricotta Salata, Toy Box Tomatoes & Lemon-Honey Thyme Dressing ontop of…. Yellow and Green beans. I’m not a big veggie eater, but this was delicious. Arguably my favorite course of the meal.
For the meat, I got the Wood Grilled Hanger Steak with Sauce Chimichurri, Pomme Puree & Haricot Vert. So it came with more green beans which I probably didn’t need, but the steak was delicious. A little tough but tender enough to still be juicy and flavorful.
My boyfriend got a pork special that had this AMAZING mashed polenta on the side. This was one of those things that make you say “mmmmmmm” like a creepo when you take a bite.
If they ever offer it as a side for a special, just substitute your side for it. I don’t care if your side is a diamond crusted asparagus, just get the polenta.
